The Partners of Higgs & Johnson are pleased to announce the promotion of four new senior associates effective 1 January 2023. These include Andre W. Hill, Keith O. Major, Jr., Rhyan A. Elliott and Trevor J. Ligthbourn.

Andre Hill is a member of the Commercial Transactions practice group and Deputy Chair of the Government & Regulatory Affairs practice group. His practice centers on Finance, Banking and Commercial Law. Andre has authored legal guides on fintech, aviation finance & leasing and loans & secured financing. He is currently ranked as Rising Star by Legal 500 Caribbean in the area of corporate law (including banking, finance and M&A).

Keith O. Major, Jr. is a member of the Litigation practice group and Co-Deputy Chair of the Maritime & Aviation practice group. His practice includes matters relating to Aviation, Asset Recovery and General Civil Litigation. Keith served as the founding Deputy Chairman of the newly formed Aircraft Accident Investigations Authority Board (AAIA). He has recently authored legal guides on aviation law topics and is ranked as a Rising Star by Legal 500 Caribbean in the area of dispute resolution.

Rhyan A. Elliott is a member of the Litigation and Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring practice groups. He has practiced extensively in various areas of Civil and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration, with a particular focus on matters with a cross-border element, in banking, financial services regulation, insurance, employment, and property law. Rhyan has also appeared as Junior Counsel before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London.

Trevor J. Lightbourn is a member of the Litigation practice group. Since joining the legal profession, he has been immersed in civil and commercial litigation. He possesses a unique discernment for assessing the economic viability of legal action in the search for alternative and innovative forms of resolution. Trevor currently serves as Chairman of the Citizenship Commission at the Department of Immigration.
