Lori C. Nelson is a member of the Firm’s Real Property & Development Practice Group, specialising in the area of Real Estate Development, specifically in relation to foreign direct investment and the sale and acquisition of hotels, marinas, and resort and mixed use developments and the purchase, sale and financing of residential and commercial property in The Bahamas. She advises clients on and facilitates the procurement of regulatory approvals from the relevant governmental bodies.

Lori has worked on various commercial and probate matters and she has extensive experience in immigration matters.

Lori was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2005 as a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and has been a Registered Associate with The Bahamas Bar since 2005. She joined the firm as an Associate in 2014, became a Senior Associate in 2018 and joined the Firm’s partnership in 2022. She is currently ranked as a ‘next generation partner’ in the area of real estate and development by Legal 500 Caribbean and is praised by clients for her ‘exceptional level of service.’
