Knijah A. Knowles is a Senior Associate in the Private Client & Wealth Management practice group.
Knijah has experience in wealth management, wills, trusts, estates, and probate matters. She also practices in the areas of banking and finance, corporate and commercial law, tax law, dispute resolution and arbitration. Knijah has appeared as counsel and co-counsel before the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of The Bahamas
Before joining the Firm, Knijah gained significant experience as the first Judicial Research Counsel to the President and Justices of the Court of Appeal of The Bahamas, as Legal Officer to the President of the Caribbean Court of Justice located in Trinidad & Tobago, and as in-house counsel to leading offshore and commercial banks. She has also co-authored guides on civil litigation and insurance litigation published by Chambers & Partners and asset tracing and recovery published in The Law Reviews.
Knijah holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from Eugene Dupuch Law School in Nassau, The Bahamas. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Law. She was called to The Bahamas Bar in 2012.
