Julia Koga da Silva is Of Counsel and a member of the firm’s Financial Services, Commercial Transactions and Securities, Investment Funds & Fintech practice groups. She is a corporate and commercial attorney with over 10 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and financial services matters.
Julia has experience coordinating merger and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, commercial contracts discussion and general corporate affairs, the structuring of new investment funds and legal operations of existing funds and the implementation of corporate governance. She has liaised with public companies, closed companies and limited liability companies and advised foreign investors and foreign companies in their investments in Brazil.
Prior to joining the Firm, Julia was Chief Legal Officer at a private equity firm in Brazil. Before that, she also worked at two leading law firms in the country specialising in corporate affairs and merger and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
Julia holds an LL.B. from the University of Sao Paulo Law School in Brazil and an LL.M. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School along with a Business and Law Certificate from the Wharton School in Philadelphia, USA and has completed various executive training courses in compliance, accounting and corporate restructurings.
