    Candice S. Knowles is an Associate in the Real Estate & Development Practice Group operating from the Lyford Cay Office.

    Candice has experience managing residential and commercial property acquisitions, sales, financing, and approvals. She has guided purchasers and developers through environmental compliance under the Environmental Planning and Protection Act, 2019 and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2020. Her practice includes real estate development, coordinating with local stakeholders to obtain and secure the requisite government and building permit approvals, as well as advising on subdivisions, resorts, and planned communities under the Planning and Subdivision Act and the Law of Property and Conveyancing (Condominium) Act. She has also supported developers in navigating governmental approvals for private island resort developments, including negotiating Hotels Encouragement Act Agreements with the Government of The Bahamas, ensuring projects meet both legal and operational requirements.

    Candice attained her B.A. in International Studies and Minor in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and subsequently pursued her postgraduate legal studies in the United Kingdom. She first earned a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University in London, followed by completion of the Bar Professional Training Course at the University of the West of England in Bristol.

    Candice was Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2020 as a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and was subsequently admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas that same year. She joined the Firm as an Associate in 2026.

    Candice is a member of The Bahamas National Trust, thoroughly enjoys free-diving, boating, dancing, and is an avid lover of the arts.
