Asha T. Lewis is an Associate and a member of the firm’s Financial Services, Commercial Transactions and Securities, Investment Funds & Fintech practice groups.

Asha has broad experience in civil litigation and appellate matters, including appeals before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. Her litigation experience spans over a myriad of civil areas including but not restricted to employment law, contract law, personal injury and insurance claims. Asha is skilled in conducting in depth legal research to build and strengthen legal arguments and has the ability to identify potential improvements in legislation, contributing to both effective advocacy and broader legal development.

Asha holds an LL.B. from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and a Legal Education Certificate from the Eugene Dupuch Law School. She has an outstanding record of academic involvement and leadership at the Eugene Dupuch Law School including receiving the Principal’s Prize in Ethics, Rights and Obligations of the Legal Profession and the Council Prize for Most Improved Year II Student (2021). She has demonstrated strong leadership and service as Library Representative and as a member of both the Editorial Team and the Commercial and Financial Law Services Clinic.

Asha was called to The Bahamas Bar in 2021 and joined Higgs & Johnson as an Associate in 2026.
