Raquel Wilson is Of Counsel in the Private Client and Wealth Management and Commercial Transactions practice groups of the Firm. She is a seasoned trust & estates practitioner with over 19 years of experience in private client, commercial, real estate, immigration, wills, and probate matters.

Raquel is a highly experienced legal professional who has served as General Counsel and a member of senior management for domestic and international financial institutions. With expertise in regulatory and corporate governance matters, Raquel is well-versed in establishing policies and procedures for financial institutions. She has also managed the trust and corporate services department for a large international financial institution. As a former Senior Associate at a tier 1 law firm, Raquel brings a wealth of legal knowledge to the Firm.

Raquel holds an Associate of Arts Degree from the University of the Bahamas in Law & Criminal Justice, an LLB (Upper Second Honors) from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom, and a Master of Business Administration. She is a licensed Chartered Banker and a member of STEP. Raquel also holds an International Diploma in Governance, Risk & Compliance.

Raquel is Co-Chair of the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) Investment Funds working group, a member of the Corporate Governance Committee. She has also served as a Director on its Board. She previously served as President of the Queen’s College Alumni Association and continues volunteering with the school. Raquel enjoys public speaking and regularly volunteers for informational sessions on the importance of Wills and Estate Planning.
