Omara L. Bingham is a Senior Associate in the Private Client & Wealth Management practice group. She is also a member of the Commercial Transactions and Financial Services practice groups.

Omara has 18 years’ experience in the legal field and possesses a wealth of knowledge in Securities & Capital Markets, Banking, and Investment Funds. A former regulator, Omara worked for over a decade with one of the Financial Services Regulators in The Bahamas where she held various senior and management positions within the Executive, Legal and Supervisions Departments. During her tenure, she participated in numerous regional and international organizations’ Financial Sector Assessment Programs. She holds specialized certifications in Securities & Capital Markets regulation.

Prior to joining the firm, Omara worked at one of the leading Bahamian commercial banks, where she served in the capacity of general legal counsel and corporate secretary, supporting several legal entities within the Bank’s Northern Caribbean hub. She was later appointed to the role of Senior Manager Compliance and registered Compliance Officer for its local affiliate, which is a licensed Bank and Trust entity.

Her practice includes providing advice to trust companies on matters concerning the establishment and administration of trusts, estates and pension trusts; wills and probate matters; international commercial contracts and general company law issues.

Omara holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Economics from the College of The Bahamas (now University of The Bahamas), a Bachelor in Laws Degree (LLB Hons) and a Master of Laws Degree in International and Commercial Law (LLM) with a World Trade Specialist Designation from the University of Buckingham, England. She was called to both the England and Wales and Bahamas Bars in 2005 and is a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn.
